140304 Cubs

As part of their work on the Book Readers Activity Badge the Cubs visited the Crawley Library on 4th March.

We were made very welcome by the Librarian, Kim, who explained all about the library, how books are recorded and where to find them etc, as well as reading the book “The Wolf that cried boy” that was well chosen as it had a young wolf trying to persuade his parents to catch some scouts to eat!  We also looked at a couple of old maps of Crawley and then were shown a series of other maps of the Town showing its development from the Middle Ages to current time on a large screen on the 3rd floor of the building.

We had a great time and I have sent our thanks to Kim for making us so welcome.  My thanks also to Mike Cordery and Erica Argent for helping with the evening.
