160223 Cubs

A very enjoyable and successful hike from Worth Church back to the HQ was enjoyed by the Pack tonight.  30 Cubs started the evening and ………………………….30 Cubs arrived safely back in Furnace Green albeit 10 minutes later than I had originally envisaged! A well deserved cup of hot chocolate and a sustaining biscuit was their reward!

 

Orion’s Belt and many other stars were spotted on our journey which encompassed part of the Worth Way.  This 7 mile footpath follows the route of the once railway running between Crawley and East Grinstead; one of many routes that felt the axe to Richard Beeching’s Commission in the late 1960’s.

 

We also found plenty of ……………….MUD! Yuck!
