100119 Cubs

The Pack learnt about the work of TEAR FUND on Tuesday, 19th January 2010 as part of the Global Challenge Award.  They watched a video about children in a small village in Africa where one of the girls they met had to walk many miles to collect river water for her family to drink.  The water was heavy and not very clean.  Disease being a serious threat the Cubs also had a go at carrying heavy objects to represent the water carriers used over an obstacle course.  They all agreed that turning on a tap in their kitchens was easier and much safer.
