The Group held a fund raising event in aid of the Sussex Air Ambulance and Kaana on Saturday, 29th September 2012 at St. Andrew’s Church, Furnace Green, Crawley from 10am to 1pm.   

 

The event took the form of a coffee morning (in the Cornerstone Cafe area), a bring and buy sale (upstairs) and video footage of the air ambulance, kaana and our Scout Group were shown inside the church itself.

 

Members of the Group and a host of supporters made contributions of cakes and biscuits as well as items for the bring and buy.  

 

A grand total of just over £475 was raised and a huge “thank you” to everyone who took part and supported us.

Every penny of the approximately £5 million we seek to raise each year to keep the life-saving helicopters in our skies every day of the year comes from individuals, groups, businesses, companies and clubs from all over Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

 

It is thanks to the generosity of supporters that the Air Ambulance has flown over 15,000 missions and continues to be available to every person living, working and travelling through our county, should they ever need it.
