Jill Alderton (ACSL), Yvonne Seetayah (BSL) and Jonathan Chappell-Seetayah (Scout) formed an Open Class team to hike The South Downs Way from Steyning Bowl to Ditchling Beacon (approx) 15 miles. The weather was fine at the start but by the afternoon the rain was blowing sideways, making walking hard work. Still, we completed the route and feel pleased with our achievement.
We were sorry that two other team members (a Cub Helper and a Cub) were not well enough to join us on the day, but in view of the weather we think they made a wise decision.
