We are aged between 8 and 10 ½ (11) years old and meet on Tuesday evenings between 7.00pm and 8.30pm.
We also enjoy a varied and challenging programme of fun and activities to help us work as an individual or as part of a team. Our teams are called SIXES and the most senior member of the SIX is known as the SIXER. He or she is helped by their SECONDER. These cubs wear special badges to show that they have a big responsibility in the Pack.
We can achieve badges and awards including:-
- OUTDOOR CHALLENGE
- PROMISE CHALLENGE
- CREATIVE CHALLENGE
- FITNESS CHALLENGE
- GLOBAL CHALLENGE
- COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
- OUTDOOR PLUS CHALLENGE
The highest award that we can gain in the Cub Section is the CHIEF SCOUT’S SILVER AWARD.
There are also 35 different activity badges that we can achieve together with a further 6 ‘staged’ badges.
Each year we go to camp and sleep in tents!
Our Leaders take their names from Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’.
